LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police are investigating the early morning shooting of three people after a fight outside a bar and liquor store just east of the Strip.

Police say all three victims were hospitalized but expected to survive in the latest of a string of local shootings and assaults in recent weeks.

Witnesses flagged down passing officers in the parking lot of the Stage Door Casino at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators believe there was a fight in the parking lot, and then someone shot into the crowd from a passing car.

Metro Capt. Dori Koren told the Las Vegas Review Journal earlier this week that aggravated assaults on the Strip and in adjacent areas are up 29% compared with this time last year. He said the department has increased patrols on the Strip.

One person was shot in the leg in the valet area of the Aria Tuesday night during a party for rapper Moneybagg Yo, who posted on social media that he was not the target of the shooting.

Last weekend, a 27-year-old man was shot five times during a fight in front of Paris Las Vegas. The man survived. Police arrested three others.
