The United States, under President Joe Biden, stood idly by and did a “no-vote” on the United Nations’ resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire by Israel against Hamas, in exchange for the release of hostages.
But this “no vote” carried a massive message, and it said bluntly: America’s shifting from pro-Israel and toward the appeasement of terrorists — possibly even to the point of changing long-held U.S. policy that adopted a more “either you’re with us or you’re against us” type of attitude toward terror groups.
Israel is on edge.
“We were stunned,” said Gol Kalev, author of “Judaism 3.0,” in an interview in Jeruslam, “by US position in the UN. basically telling Israel to stop … This, to me, is not just sort of a departure in terms of throwing Israel under the bus a little more but this is really could symbolize a departure in the US treatment of the war on terrorism because we have to take a second to recognize what is happening here.”
And what’s happening?
At just the moment when Israel is close to victory over Hamas, the world governments are aligning to tell Israel to stop — and as Kalev says, “that’s what Hamas wants.”
