Ford Motor has issued a recall on over 450,000 SUVs and pickups over an electrical issue that could result in loss of drive power.

According to an alert from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford’s recall affects Bronco sport utility vehicles made between 2021-24 and Maverick pickup trucks that came out in 2022-23.

Ford discovered an issue where an undetected low-battery charge could limit the use of electrical features like hazard lights and turn signals. The malfunction could also lead to a car’s driving power loss and cause a collision.

The company has urged affected customers to take the cars to their nearest Ford dealership for a free fix.

Ford also issued a recall for its smaller SUVs last week over a fuel injector issue that could increase the risk of an engine fire.
