SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a man in a Salt Lake City suburb allegedly stabbed his grandmother several times.
KUTV in Salt Lake City reports the suspect called police Monday morning and said he had stabbed his grandmother.
Unified police officers responded to the Millcreek area and found the victim with stab wounds and cuts on her arms and abdomen.
She was transported to a hospital.
Police say she is undergoing emergency surgery.
The suspect, who is in his 20s, was taken into custody for questioning.
